Open Access Policy

Revista Estudios Avanzados (EstuDAv) is published by the Instituto de Estudios Avanzados (IDEA) of the Universidad de Santiago de Chile.

EstuDAv is an open access journal that offers all of its contents immediately and free of charge. The journal is distributed under a Creative Commons Licence 4.0 International, with no limitations other than those set forth by the Commons By Licence.

Any author, by submitting some material to the journal, assumes and endorses this definition, as well as the others on copyright and dissemination that are detailed here. It adheres to each and every one of the international statements (Budapest, Bethesda and Berlin), in favor of open access and unrestricted data at the international level on access and open data, with a view to favoring the world movement for the open science.

Any person or entity accepted to publish in EstuDAv assigns their copyright to this journal, in a non-exclusive manner. This assignment will be both for the direct edition carried out by the journal through it own media, ass well as for the dissemination of the article and the promotion of EstuDAv in different platforms. Instead of this, the autors can use their texts freely, citing EstuDav as the main source. 

To give their consent to the copyright policy, Creative Commons Licence, and other exposed indications, the authors must send a letter of agreement and commitment following this model:

In the same way, in case of approval of the proposal, the publication rights are transferred free of charge to its editors under the terms of the Creative Commons By Licence. Finally, the commitment is assumed to indicate this journal as the source in case of subsequent uses and publications of the article.

FUNDING

The journal is funded integrally by its editors and partner organizations. EstuDAv does not charge any type of rights for publishing on it; nor does it pay or finance the production and publication of their articles. In the same way, it doesn't ask for any kind of payment or previous registration to all those interested in its contents.
